USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service presents a unique view of the importance of pollinators. In less than two minutes, “Be a Friend to Pollinators” takes flight with simple facts about bees, butterflies, birds, and bats and other pollinators. Featured are the places of pollinators in food production, plus food for thought on what it would be like to live in a world without pollinators. The video also advises on how to help pollinators thrive.

Animal pollinators are essential to reproduction for 35% of the world’s food crops, but they are disappearing. This animation explains what individuals can do to help pollinators in their own communities, and describes the varieties of pollinators.
