Ryan is both extremely knowledgeable about what he does, and he is also a great mentor. In his Entomology outreach programs, several of which I attended, he takes a complex subject and makes it fun, interactive, and educational for all age groups. You’d be amazed what amazing insects can be right in your backyard! In his role as leader of the York County 4-H entomology club, he demonstrates that same enthusiasm for both the world of entomology, and for educating others about it. I was in the club for about nine years and in my time there I learned a wealth of knowledge about insects. Whether you try out the club or his outreach programs, you’ll learn a lot and have a lot of fun in the process!
